Jane grew up in Christchurch, attending Villa Maria College and completing her law degree at the University of Canterbury. She was admitted to the bar in 1985.

She has worked for a number of Christchurch law firms, but has been at Bishopdale Law since the beginning of 2005 and became a partner in February 2008.

Both Richard and Jane enjoy working for a range of clients, developing long term relationships and providing legal experience and assistance in a variety of areas including property transactions (residential, commercial and relationship property), wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, residential care subsidy applications, company incorporations, partnership and shareholders agreements, setting up and administering charities. Richard is a Trustee of two charities and the firm has sponsored the Christchurch Marathon.
